About Sentivalark

Sentivalark – Stress-testing a potential position

Why we built an AI research assistant for the private investor who thinks for themselves.

The problem we set out to solve

Private investors today have access to more information than any previous generation. Company filings, earnings transcripts, sector reports, news feeds and market commentary are all within reach. The challenge is not access — it is organisation. Raw information does not become understanding on its own. It requires structure, critical examination and the discipline to question the narrative you are already inclined to believe. Most investors do not have a reliable system for that process, and the tools available to them were not designed with it in mind.

Sentivalark was created to address that gap directly. We asked what a genuinely useful research assistant for a serious private investor would actually do — and the answer was not to provide more data or more opinions. It was to help the investor organise what they already have, surface the assumptions embedded in their thinking, and work through the material with more rigour than they could manage alone.

The problem we set out to solve

From scattered information to a clearer picture in three steps

1

Bring in your research

Start with the company, sector or market question you are working on. Share the information you have already gathered — news, filings, commentary, your own notes — and tell Sentivalark what you are trying to understand. There is no prescribed format; the assistant works with what you have.

2

Organise, question and compare

Sentivalark structures the material, identifies the key themes and tensions, surfaces the assumptions embedded in the prevailing narrative, and helps you compare how different scenarios might unfold. You direct the enquiry; the assistant keeps the picture organised and honest.

3

Reach your own informed view

With a clearer, more complete picture in front of you, you are better placed to form a view that is genuinely your own. Sentivalark does not make the decision — that responsibility stays with you — but it ensures the thinking behind it is as rigorous as you can make it.

How investors use Sentivalark every day

Preparing for an earnings release

Before an earnings release, an investor uses Sentivalark to pull together the company's recent revenue trajectory, margin trends and analyst commentary into a single organised view. Rather than reading five separate sources in sequence, they arrive at the announcement already holding a coherent picture of what the business has been doing — and a clear set of questions to test against the new numbers.

Fundamental research scenario

Reading a sector move in context

A sector is moving sharply on macro news and an investor wants to understand whether the move reflects a genuine shift in underlying conditions or a short-term sentiment reaction. They use Sentivalark to compare the current environment against historical analogues, examine which assumptions are driving the market narrative, and identify where their own view diverges — giving them a reasoned basis for deciding whether to act or wait.

Market signal scenario

Stress-testing a potential position

An investor is considering adding a position but wants to examine the downside before they commit. They use Sentivalark to map out the key risks attached to the company — competitive pressures, balance sheet sensitivities, regulatory exposure — and to challenge the optimistic case they have already built. The process does not make the decision for them, but it ensures they have genuinely interrogated both sides before acting.

Risk examination scenario

What Sentivalark is — and what it is not

Sentivalark is an AI research assistant. It helps you read a company's fundamentals more clearly, compare how different scenarios might affect an investment case, identify meaningful signals in market information, and examine the risks you may have underweighted. It is a thinking tool, not a decision-making tool. The conclusions you reach are yours; Sentivalark simply helps you reach them with more care.

It is important to be clear about what Sentivalark does not do. It does not execute trades, manage portfolios or provide regulated financial advice. It does not make recommendations about specific assets or predict market outcomes. If you need personalised investment advice, you should speak to a qualified financial adviser. Sentivalark's role is to strengthen the research process that sits before that conversation — or before the decision you make independently.

Our approach to research assistance

We believe that better investment decisions come from better thinking, and that better thinking requires honest, structured engagement with the evidence. Sentivalark is built around that principle. It does not flatter your existing view or present a simplified picture designed to make you feel confident. It helps you hold complexity, name your assumptions, and consider the case against your thesis with the same seriousness you give to the case for it.

The investor who uses Sentivalark well is not looking for shortcuts. They are looking for a more disciplined research process — one that keeps them honest, keeps the picture organised, and ensures that when they act, they act on understanding. That is the standard we build to, and it shapes every decision we make about how the product works.
